Darrin Patrick answers some questions from people in his church. In this installment: How do I forgive someone who refuses to change?

Darrin Patrick has graciously and honorably responded to MacArthur’s allegations that he is promoting rugged individualism and an entrepreneurial spirit in his book Church Planter. Good and appropriate response to criticism modeled here. (Even Patrick’s Elders weigh in.)

If you haven’t read the latest, John MacArthur offered critique of Darrin Patrick’s book, Church Planter, which has been explained, further explained and is still looming on the internet with opinions going back and forth. I read the paragraph in question (in Patrick) much like I read Paul’s words to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 1:12-13, not commending a rugged individualism but a grasp of one’s theological truth internally. At any rate, life goes on…

Darrin Patrick author of Church Planter and Pastor at The Journey in STL tweeted this NT times tool “Mapping America.” You basically can enter a zip code and it shows you the “neighborhood demographics” for where you live. When I entered the ones for our town, I was struck by the need and the “lostness” that exist here. Oh that God would allow us to reach these so that His glory is seen.

There were a couple of great resources on the web yesterday on manhood and issues related thereunto…
The DG Live Interview with Darrin Patrick, author of Church Planter, is now online (there is audio and video available). In this interview, Patrick talks about the “ban” epidemic (men who are neither boys nor men) among other amazing things. This is a very helpful interview in helping to understand many issues with what it means to be a man.
Also, the Art of Manliness have posted their holiday gift guide. Lots of fun stuff there.
