As we think about the coming Lord’s day, you may wonder how Sundays can be days of rest for pastors who are busy from dawn to dusk. Here’s an excellent video from Lig Duncan on how a busy pastor enjoys the Lord’s day:
We know the name Matthew Henry because his commentaries are probably one of the best-selling of all time. But he wrote an amazing resource on prayer which Lig Duncan (and others) recently updated in language and using the ESV. What the finished product looks like is an amazing aid in devotions by helping us to pray Scripturally. Enjoy.
At the Gospel Coalition conference last week, there were allusions made to the following 2 resources available on the web.
Tim Keller’s message pointed to a sermon by David Clarkson entitled Soul Idolatry Excludes Men Out of Heaven.
Similarly, Ligon Duncan alluded to a message by Spurgeon entitled Paul – His Cloak and Books (from 2 Timothy 4:13). Lig assumed that most of us were familiar with this, but we weren’t. However, we can make ourselves familiar with it now.
